Medusa, rendered from the MU Online Season 21 client

Medusa — MU Online Boss Guide

Medusa is an invasion, not a camp. She drops into the Swamp of Calmness on a timer, stays a quarter of an hour, and leaves whether or not anyone killed her.

Where to Find It

Swamp of Calmness map

There is no pin on this map on purpose: this boss is not placed at a fixed spot — the invasion drops it anywhere on the map and it roams from there.

The map itself is a /move Swamp of Calmness away once you are level 400.

What It Drops

Medusa has its own drop bag — ItemBags/Event_Monster_(561)_Medusa.xml. Every figure below is read from that file. The bag system counts in ten-thousandths, so 10 000 means 100%.

Property Value
Bag name Monster_Medusa
Chance of an item at all 100%
Zen per kill none worth counting
Coins 500 WCoin
Level requirement none (1 to MAX)

How many items drop

Drop section Items per kill Section rate
Section 1 1 100%

What the bag rolls onto them

Every one of the 80 rows in this bag carries the same option flags, so the answer is the same whatever drops.

Attribute In the file What it means
Item level 0 +0
Skill 0 never
Luck 0 never
Excellent options -1 never
Ancient / set item 0 no
Sockets -2 random

What is in the bag

80 possible items across 1 categories. One is drawn at random each time the bag pays out.

Category Possible items Share of the bag
Pets and Rings and Misc 80 100%

The full 80-row list is too long to print here — the category table above is the practical summary. Everything comes out at the item level and flags shown.

Schedules, entry levels, monster stats and reward tables read straight from the live MuEurope server files — Data/Events/, MonsterList.xml and ItemList.xml as they run on play.muonline.eu. MU Online game assets © Webzen Inc.
