It is the last step before Temple Guard, and it is the tier most players spend the longest in — because every Legendary piece you will ever own starts life as a Lightning piece at +15. There are 122 Lightning items on MuEurope: 19 armour sets, 21 weapons, 7 shields and 2 crafting materials, covering all sixteen classes. Every number on this page is read from the live MuEurope server files — Items/ItemList.xml for the stats, MasteryItemMixInventory.xml for the recipes and RuudShop.xml for the material prices. It is what runs on play.muonline.eu, not a copy of the original patch notes. Where Lightning Sits Tier Set Made from Catalyst Base Apocalypse equipment — — → Lightning Lightning Apocalypse piece at +11 Lightning Soul / Lightning Anvil 1st Legendary Temple Guard Lightning piece at +15 Soul of the Temple Guard / Temple Guard Moru 2nd Legendary Imperial Temple Guard piece at +15 Soul of the Imperial / Imperial Moru The chain is the same at every step: take the previous tier to the required upgrade level, add one of each jewel and the tier's own material, and combine. Your +level, options, luck and sockets carry across — a +15 Lightning sword becomes a +15 Temple Guard sword, which later becomes a +15 Imperial sword. There Is No Level Requirement Every wearable Lightning item on this server reads ReqLevel = 1. There is no level gate at all — what stops you wearing it is the stat requirement. The heaviest in the whole tier is the Lightning Sword at 1,107 Strength. How Lightning Is Made Every recipe runs at the Chaos Machine, all of them are 100% success, and — unlike the Legendary tiers — all of them are free: 205 of the 206 Lightning recipes cost 0 zen. Each piece has two recipes that give exactly the same result. In other words the upgrade is free power for a character you have already built. Where Lightning Drops Lightning armour and shields drop from ordinary monsters on two maps. Lightning weapons do not drop at all — every one of them has to be crafted from its Apocalypse counterpart with a Lightning Anvil. Every row has Luck = -1, which means luck is rolled from the server's normal luck rate rather than guaranteed. 15 pieces have no recipe at all Mostly boots, plus three pairs of gloves. They are not in the combination table on this server, so the only way to get them is to find them (or buy them). No jewels, no zen, 100%. That is also why the two share a model — they are the same weapon handed to a different class. The bound Horn Crystal is rechargeable The Crystal recipe takes a spent Crystal (the material is specified at durability 2,500) and returns a full one. It is the only Lightning recipe on the server that costs zen — 1,000,000,000 of it, plus one of each jewel. Notes There is no level requirement All 120 wearable Lightning items read ReqLevel = 1 in the server file (the two crafting materials have no requirement at all). The gate is stats, and the heaviest of them is the Lightning Sword at 1,107 Strength. Nothing in the chain can fail All 206 recipes are configured at 100% success, and 205 of them cost no zen at all. Ancient Hero Soul and the usual protection items are not needed. The base must be +11, not +15 Lightning is the one step in the chain that takes a +11 base. Temple Guard and Imperial both want +15. Do not over-upgrade an Apocalypse piece expecting it to be required — but do remember the +level carries over, so a +15 Apocalypse piece still becomes a +15 Lightning piece. One jewel of each, not thirty Every craft recipe takes exactly one Jewel of Bless, one Jewel of Soul, one Jewel of Chaos and one Jewel of Creation. The conversion recipes take three — no Creation. Your +level and options carry over The combination keeps the upgrade level, the stat option, luck and sockets. You are converting your existing gear, not starting again — which is why it is worth putting your good options on Apocalypse gear and riding them all the way to Imperial. Three classes get two sets Fairy Elf, Magic Gladiator and Dark Knight each have an attack-shaped and a support-, magic- or defence-shaped Lightning set. Swapping between them is a Conversion Order, not a re-craft — so picking "wrong" first is recoverable for 10,000–30,000 Ruud. Magic Gladiator wears no helm, Rage Fighter wears no gloves Those two sets are four pieces, not five. It is not a missing item — the classes have no slot for them.
